In 2012, Bret Prichard established the Results Matter Group to help organizations get the financial growth they need to get the results that matter for their mission.

Mr. Prichard's experience started in a most unusual way, but set the stage for a career in the nonprofit field that rivals some of the best fundraising results in the history of fundraising professionals. While pursuing his successful career in the investment business, he was a participant in a charity bike ride for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at the invitation of a longtime friend. After participating in the charity bike ride for a number of years, Bret joined the event steering committee. After serving as a volunteer leader for five years, he made a decision to leave his 12-year career as an investment broker and join the Lone Star Chapter of the National MS Society as the Director of Development.

Now, using the knowledge gained through his education and years in the for-profit world, Bret combines finance, marketing, budgeting and business knowledge, along with his understanding of fundraising from the “eyes of the donor/participant,” to consistently create comprehensive programs that generate growth well above the national average of 6-8 percent. Averaging over 40 percent growth a year for 20 years, Mr. Prichard has worked with some of the nation’s most recognized charities and help set fundraising standards and records that stand to this day.


While in Texas, Bret led the Lone Star Chapter to unprecedented growth, rebuilding the MS 150 Houston to Austin Bike Tour to become the first $2 million and subsequently $3 million event in National MS Society history. Today this event is raising $20 million annually.


As the Vice President of Development/Special Events for the Southern California Chapter, Bret managed all special events for the chapter, including the nation’s fastest-growing MS Walk and its largest Gala, which raised $3 million annually. While with NMSS California, Bret developed systems and programs that tripled the special event revenue over six years.


As the National Vice President for Development, Bret was responsible for departments of this nationally recognized charity that included Communications/Marketing, Chapter Development, Major Gifts, Special Events and the National Walk Now program (recognized in 2006 as the fastest-growing national walk program in the country). He achieved a doubling of the revenue in just two short years, raising more than $12 million in 2007 alone.


Bret served as Marymount California University’s Dean of Institutional Advancement and was responsible for the Communications and Institutional Advancement (Fundraising) divisions, developing many new marketing, outreach and fundraising programs; board campaigns; and a capital campaign. He led the university to increase its annual fundraising an astounding 1,000 percent (tenfold increase from $300,000 to $3.5 million) in just four years.
